Hershey Park
What can you do at Hershey Park if it is raining?
We have plans to be at Hershey Park and the extended focast says thunderstorms. We already have paid for reservations and tickets in full, so we will be going there no matter what.
Anyone have any advice on what we can do if it should rain/thunderstorm? I have already visited their site, and it says go to the zoo’s indoor attractions…blah blah blah.
Can anyone give me firsthand advice? Thanks!
For one thing you can spend time at Chocolate World–they have a dark ride that shows the process of making chocolate. It’s actually quite fun to see. There several other things to do there.
Inside the park, there is Reese’s Xtreme Cup Challenge which is a hokey interactive dark ride where you shoot are targets. Nothing really special, but fun. There aren’t too many indoor rides at Hersheypark. I hear their shows are quite good. You may want to see which show are available that wouldn’t be canceled due to a storm.
I was at the park when it thunderstormed. They are usually very good at reopening rides when the lightning is a good distance away. I wouldn’t worry too much. Thunderstorms usually an last a short time–few hours at most.
